I’m working on a post over on Substack comparing the gaming community to church communities, and what each can learn from one another. In my experience over the years, gamers are often nice to each other, and even in disagreements they don’t get very heated. Disagreements over game hype, which game is the “best”, or which is the worst often don’t turn into squabbles. Gamers are very diverse just like the video games we choose to play, so that helps us have different perspectives on what we enjoy.

Gaming & God has had a small but sometimes active Discord for the volunteers and a few friends of the ministry. I did not open it up to the public in the past because I did not want to take on another responsibility to manage. After praying about it, I felt it was time to open it up and give gamers another positive place to have community.

You can find the link below, and I personally approve each person. Discord gives the option to check before someone joins, so if your account looks fishy, spam, or if you bring foolishness into the group, I’ll remove you. If you have any questions, please let me know! Even if you choose not to join ours, feel free to check the link above to see others that may be helpful to you instead.
