Sea Of Stars – Kickstarter Project

Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

Description from Steam

Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others are platforms that help projects get funded. There are all kinds of things that want your money on these platforms, but if you mention the words Chrono and Trigger together in a sentence, I will gladly pay up!

A good friend of mine shared this game, Sea of Stars, with me on Facebook Messenger and I was excited when I opened the link. Not only is this a retro-style JRPG, but it is also lovingly using one of my favorite games as inspiration, Chrono Trigger. To put the icing on the cake, Yasunori Mitsuda (original composer of CT and Chrono Cross) has joined the team to help make the music!

The game has already been kickstarted and they have some artwork, music, gameplay footage, and even wallpaper already. It’s looking really good, and I already backed it! I am not someone who backs games, to be honest, I rarely do because I don’t like having to wait 1-2 years for a game that I already paid for. I have so many games to catch up on, I prefer to just see if it even gets released and see what other gamers have to say once it’s out for sale.

So yes, I am super pumped for the release of this wonderful looking game and I hope Sabatoge Studios doesn’t disappoint. They seem to have the fans in mind, and want this to be a fun and memorable experience for old school gamers (me) and the new generation.

If you were able to back this one, let me know in the comments and what you are looking forward to from Sea of Stars. Do you think it will be a successor to CT? God bless and thanks for passing by!
