My New Column, Gaming With Purpose

Part of my vision for this blog has always been for it to be a place where other gamers whether they are Christian or not, can find resources and community around our beloved recreation. My previous column, Gamer’s Journal, is a pleasure to write since it gives me an outlet to express my words outside of my usual articles. This time though, I want to create a space in Gaming & God for others to tell their story about gaming and faith.

As I navigate the gaming community on social media, mainly Twitter, I kept finding people who talk about God but are playing videogames. The concept was to ask them to share their faith story and how it ties into videogames.

All of us love stories and connect with them on various levels, which I believe is what most geeky habits are formed around (books, movies, comics, anime, TV shows).

I want the column to be an encouragement for gamers to see that there are people out there sharing good news, positivity, or creating safe communities without some of the negativities that comes with online gaming. You will be surprised to see the good that can come out from playing video games.

I hope you look forward to these stories, whether your a parent, gamer or just found this post somewhere online. Be sure to hit the follow button to the right so you stay in the loop and get notified when the first story drops.

God bless, and keep on gaming!
